Established in France
AmalTech was established as an association under France’s 1901 Associations Act.
The association
AmalTech is a French association established in 2025 under the 1901 Associations Act. It uses digital tools to support learning and independence for children, young people and adults in Syria.
Our mission
Interrupted schooling and a lack of equipment can hold back learning. We want to combine suitable equipment, practical activities and local support.
Build on a first experience. Develop a useful programme. Improve it with the people who use it.

These milestones bring together information from the website and the AmalTech team. They distinguish completed activities from the programme in development.

An introduction to computing in Sahnaia, held with the local educational association.
A historical figure from the existing website, not a current total of beneficiaries. The exact session date still needs to be documented.
Learning pathways, equipment preparation, educator training and monitoring tools.
Returning to education
The activities have reached more than the 25 children in the first class. Around 30 women of different ages have also taken part.
Some are returning to learning after 30 years away from school. Others want to resume an education they were unable to continue because they were taken out of school when they were young.
Including them in the project recognises that the opportunity to learn matters at every age.
Local cooperation
In Sahnaia, near Damascus, this local educational association hosted the first introduction to computing.
The next steps need to be prepared with the local team: actual needs, suitable content, educator support and operating conditions.
