What drives us
A computer alone is not enough.
For a tool to become an opportunity to learn, it also takes resources, people and the means to keep a classroom running.
AmalTech connects the second life of equipment in France with educational needs in Syria, through local cooperation in Sahnaia.
Understand the projectComputers that serve a purpose
Collect, test and prepare reusable equipment in France, then organise delivery to an identified learning space.
Opportunities to learn
Choose suitable resources, learn through practice and create something to be proud of.
Support for local teams
Prepare educators and local teams to lead sessions, adapt activities and follow learners’ progress.
A classroom that can last
Plan for transport, storage, electricity, Internet, maintenance and teaching time.

A practical starting point
It begins with a first class.
A summer introduction to computing was held with the local educational association Almwadafa / علم ودفا.
This experience helps us prepare the next steps: document learning, support educators and build a programme that can last.
Around 30 women of different ages have also taken part in activities. For some, this is an opportunity to return to learning after a long interruption.
